In addition to releasing the 20th Anniversary Marathon medal yesterday, RunDisney also released their new website. It seems to move a lot faster than the old site that was through the ESPN Wide World of Sports site. Features of the new website include easy access links to
- Events now links to ALL RunDisney events. On the old website, it was hard to find the Expedition Everest Challenge.
- WDW Marathon Weekend
- Wine & Dine Half Marathon
- Tower of Terror 10-mile
- Princess Half Marathon
- Disneyland Half Marathon
- Tinkerbell Half Marathon
- Expedition Everest Challenge
- Training consolidates links to all the Galloway Training programs in one easy access spot. This is much easier to navigate than the previous design, which hid the training programs within each race website.
- Training Programs for each race
- Training Tips
- About Jeff Galloway
- Travel
- Travel Options
- WDW Info
- DL Info
- RunDisney Mom link for all your RunDisney questions
- Results used to be buried within each individual race site. This new organization makes it much easier to find results from past years.
- RunDisney Blog appears to be the one section of the new website that doesn't seem to be up and running yet. This will make keeping up with RunDisney announcements (new races, Galloway training meet-ups) much easier to track, rather than having them combined with the regular Disney Parks Blog.
- FAQs include both general RunDisney event questions/answers as well as an event-specific section.
- Contact info offers a phone number, mailing address as well as an email option for contacting the RunDisney group.
- Facebook and Twitter links. (Which on the new website at the moment take you to the home pages for Facebook and Twitter rather than the RunDisney pages on each of those websites - correct links are seen here. I just tested out the Email tool on the contact page to let RunDisney know.)
