Over the past week, RunDisney has been torturing us all with
The Great Medal Caper as the lead in to revealing the new 2013 WDW Marathon
Weekend finishers’ medals (of which the 20th anniversary marathon
medal is the biggest deal). Last night,
they revealed the Donald half marathon medal.
It looks surprisingly similar to the 2012 anniversary medal, minus the
color… Complete with the open eye that so many people were slightly creeped out
by in January. Personally, I did love or
hate the Donald medal last year. It was
cute, but not my favorite Disney medal ever.

I can’t say I’m in love with the new release on first
glance, but it is not too bad. I was
really hoping that they would continue the running style that they used for the
Mickey medal the past two years, but alas, it is a no-go. Regardless, I will be proud to wear this
around the parks after the half marathon in January…. That is, until it is
replaced by the Goofy medal the next day. :)
